What we do
Kerb Appeals helps you prepare a written challenge (an "appeal") to a council Penalty Charge Notice. We read your ticket, ask about what happened, and draft text for you to submit to the council yourself. We don't submit anything on your behalf and we don't represent you.
Not legal advice
Kerb Appeals prepares documents from the facts you give. It isn't a law firm and doesn't give legal advice. Our assessment of your grounds is general guidance, not a prediction. No appeal is guaranteed to succeed.
Your facts and your responsibility
- You must only give facts that are true. We write the appeal from what you tell us and what's on the ticket, and we never add facts.
- You must read the appeal before submitting it and correct anything that isn't accurate.
- Some councils ask you to declare that your challenge is true, and making a false statement can be a criminal offence. That declaration is yours.
- You are responsible for submitting the appeal on time. We show deadlines as a guide, calculated from the ticket; check them against the notice.
Prices and payment
- A single appeal costs £5, paid by card through Stripe before the finished appeal is shown.
- The trade plan costs £20 a month and includes 5 appeals each billing month. Unused appeals don't roll over. Further appeals cost £4 each. You can cancel at any time from your account; the plan runs to the end of the month you've paid for.
- Prices include any VAT that applies.
Cancellation and refunds
The appeal is digital content supplied as soon as you pay. When you pay, you agree to immediate supply and accept that you lose the usual 14-day right to cancel once the appeal has been written. If we can't produce your appeal because of a fault on our side, email hello@kerbappeals.co.uk and we'll refund you. Your rights under consumer law are not affected.
Fair use
Don't use the service to prepare false or misleading statements, to overload it, or to copy it. We may suspend accounts that do.
Our liability
We take care to make the service accurate, but councils decide appeals and their rules change. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any appeal is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we aren't liable for the penalty itself or for a lost discount. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited.
Changes and law
We may update these terms and will show the date above. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
